Margaret Hoover interviews Alexandria Cortez, askes asinine question about capitalism

But the Constitution they created eventually led to all people being free to negotiate the value of their own labor, that is, until Franklin Delano Roosevelt intervened and dictated a federal minimum wage, making it a crime for people willing to work for less than his minimum wage.

The liberty to succeed or fail at one’s own hand is a socialist’s nightmare and not the American Dream

And that’s a bad thing?

Being free to negotiate the value of one’s own labor is one of the most fundamental inalienable rights of mankind. Just as people being free to mutually agree in their contracts and associations is a fundamental inalienable right which Alexandria Cortez and her socialist dictators despise with a passion.

The Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s socialism will promise food on the table, free public housing, health care for all, guaranteed income, free college tuition, and other niceties by taxing the so called rich; and if by chance their socialist leadership gains control because of such promises made, the end result, as John Adams stated, “will be revengeful, bloody, and cruel” especially for the most productive, hardworking members of the community.

How about having a having a labor union negotiate on your behalf?

Except most times its not free.

Of course it’s not free. The most productive hard working members of society are taxed to provide the free stuff handed out by socialist leaders which is used as graft to obtain votes.

JWK

There’s an evil reason why Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s socialist crowd wants to impose their socialism on a national scale. They don’t want to allow the most productive and hardworking members of a state, such as New York and California, fleeing the confiscatory taxation which is needed to finance the free stuff socialist leaders give to their base in return for its vote.

Ceo’s make 900 times the money of the average worker, don’t tell me they work 900 times harder.

The beauty of our system is, everyone has the opportunity to become a CEO. But, in general, only those with the mental capacity to run a multi billion dollar corporation, and make it profitable and successful for its employees, rise to that level.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claims to be an advocate of hard working people living in the Bronx. If that is so, why is she not advocating an end to the unconstitutional “Temporary Victory Tax” of 1943, which began federal confiscation of the bread which working people have earned from the sweat of their labor?

And that is the great lie of capitalism which inspires millions to vote against their own interests year after year.

Fortunately, the Constitution our founders created was meant to preserve and protect a free market system, in which the people were meant to be left free to pursue their own happiness.

Karl Marx popularized the word “capitalism” __ a word unknown to our founders’ __ to attack the free market system our founders created. Why do so many talking heads refer to our system as “capitalism” rather than a free market system which our founders created? Do they fear and recoil from the word “free’ like Marx did?

That is a very Pollyanna way to look at it.

The Constitution our founders created that said slavery was ok and women can’t vote? That one?

I just word searched my handy dandy Constitution.PDF and I couldn’t find “capitalism”, “free market”, or “economy” anywhere in it. You take a lot of liberties with what the founders meant for the Constitution to “preserve and protect”. I think that if the founders meant for “pure, free market capitalism” to be the official economy of the United States, they would have made that part of the document that defines our system of government.

Were those two lies taught to you in a government school?

In every communist dictatorial oppressive country, like Cuba, the people are disarmed. Forewarned is forearmed.

Oh, but the defined and limited powers granted to our federal government in our original Constitution are the very foundations necessary to promote liberty, that includes economic liberty.

I suggest you take some time and study the objectives of our foregathers.

The fact is, the word “capitalism” was unknown to our founders. In fact it was used and popularized by Karl Marx to describe a free market system in an evil light. By contrast, our founder’s often describe our system in a manner promoting a free market, free trade, or free enterprise ___ “free” being the operative word. For example see Thomas Jefferson : First Annual Message to Congress

”Agriculture, manufactures, commerce, and navigation, the four pillars of our prosperity, are the most thriving when left most free to individual enterprise.”

For more on the distinctions between our system, as intended by our Founders, and “Capitalism”, see: PART TWO: Free Enterprise is Better than Capitalism The following descriptions of “Capitalism” and “Free Enterprise” are noted as follows:

Capitalism (crony capitalism): A system where the law encourages market forces and also gives preference and special benefits to the sector of the economy owned by big capital—including big corporations like in Corporatism, but also wealthy foreign and multinational corporations, and highly influential non-corporate institutions such as rich foundations, moneyed trusts, political parties, well-funded lobbies and special interest groups, affluent non-profit entities, wealthy families, moneyed foreign investors, and others with large amounts of capital. Under this system, the rich rule society, and they naturally influence government to maintain policies that benefit the rich more than others.

Free Enterprise: A system where the law encourages market forces and gives no special preferences; it protects equal rights for all individuals and entities and leaves initiative and enterprise to private individuals, groups, businesses and organizations that are all treated equally and with minimal legislation by the legal code.

The bottom line is, we know Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has attacked “capitalism”. But does she support the free market system our Founders left us with and reject the force of our federal government being used to confiscate the earnings of one group of Citizens which is then transferred to another for their personal economic needs?

The freedom to fail or succeed at one’s own hand is a PROGRESSIVE`S nightmare and not the American Dream

Actually, it takes into account that which is self-evident.

"To lay with one hand the power of the government on the property of the citizen [a working person’s earned wage] and with the other to bestow upon favored individuals, to aid private enterprises and build up private fortunes is none the less a robbery because it is done under forms of law and called taxation."____ Savings and Loan Association v.Topeka,(1875).

The Scariest part is the fake news will paint a picture of utopia with their ideology of :poop:.

Are you arguing that when the Founding Fathers supported the activity of exploitation of labor through human bondage that they were preserving and protecting a free market system?

Look… the founders were pretty extraordinary men, but worship of them is unfounded… one has to accept the bad parts too.

No they don’t.

I have no idea what you are talking about with regard to your first comment.

In regard to your second comment, we ought to judge our forefathers on the miracle they created called the Constitution of the United States.
