You can’t possibly know that to be true unless you know every possible positive person you’ve come into contact with and how many contacts you’ve had with each of them while they were positive.

Unless you know you’ve come into contact with infected people who were still contagious and the circumstances under which you did you simply have no possible way of knowing how effective your measures are.

The rest of the world media isn’t running the same stories we re in the US or fabricating their number nor over hyping them to get their leaders removed.
Why is 99% Media attention here bad and always blaming the POTUS for problems created by state and local leaders, mostly democrats?

It brings the rate of transmission down.
Don’t quibble over the vector.
If the transmission rate goes down your chance of coming into contact with an infected person goes down.
