Is that your way of saying the notion that massive voter fraud caused Trump to lose is an insanely bonkers conspiracy theory? If so, I agree. Perhaps you should start trying to influence your fellow conservatives towards reality.
i have no idea how much voter fraud there was in the 2020 election, neither do you. my take is that although there was likely more than usual just because of the ease of it, it was likely not enough to change anything.
the point was that both sides have stupid conspiracy theoriesā¦ and we know one of which was totally manufactured by those who actually did itā¦ russia, russia, russia
Right. Itās ok it took the left a lot longer to ālove themā than for you guys to forget they existed.
There is a staunch bush supporter in this thread who said that he is a step away from being a socialist. Thatās pretty awesome. So i guess you guys supported an almost socialist.
TM seems incapable of respecting someoneās actions versus supporting their politics. Iāve friends wi. many Republicans whose company I enjoy yet disagree with their politics. That must be a foreign conversation to TM.
why would i forget they existed? i agree with them on most everything except ātoo big to failā and believe they led the country well until nancy and harry took over the congress
Liz Cheney may be a ābadā person, I donāt know. She is not a bad person for standing up to Trump.
Neither is Bush or any of the others. They may be (probably are) āswampā things or whatever - how could they not be? They were raised in it.
Their understanding of the role of government is colored by their culture/indoctrination. Itās how most people view it. Itās how some of the founders viewed it.
Be careful how much wrecking ball you advocate for, we want to get to the foundation, not destroy it.
Trump, good policies aside, is becoming destructive. He is getting more petty. He has some reasons to be vindictive, but heās making it about him.
He seems to want to destroy the GOP; fine, but he has no plan to replace it. Election cycles are continuous, thereās no time to build a new organization.
To paraphrase:
for the first time in our life, we shall be free of the swamp to think about what we are going to do.
Just wonāt work for the GOP anymore than it will for the neo-marxists.
The GOP needs new, younger blood. A real platform of relevant points - relevant to today. āIf dems is for it; weāre agāin itā isnāt a platform. They should look to co-opt from the libertarians and yes, even the dems.
Steal the bailey, stop retreating to the same old motte.
I agree with your post and highlight that Trump is no friend to the GOP as he will happily burn it all down if needed to further his own interests. And what are Trumpās interests? It is about him. About receiving adulation. Thatās about it.
Back to the GOP. Trump is attracting the worst young candidates who will hurt their image in the long run. Sycophants willing to discard our democracy in order to placate Trump. Dramatic? Yes. But next time the Secretary of State and Governor may not defy Trump and Trump acolytes are steadily working their way up into these positions. If a state decides not to certify, what do you think will happen? How many GOP officials refuse to say publicly that Trump lost? It is rather scary where Trump has taken the GOP.
i donāt begrudge anyone standing up to trump. every leader needs some external voice in his ear (all glory is fleeting). i do begrudge the obviously nothing about anything but being against trump voting in the chamber. she made it about trump.
