Liberalism's Other Hitman, Luigi Mangione, beats terrorism charges

And liberals. Don’t forget the liberals.

They will fight like Comanches to save the life of a murderer but have no problem with open season on unborn babies.

I’ll never understand what passes for liberal “thinking” if i live to be a 100.

Right and libertarians. Don’t forget the libertarians

You already said that. You’re repeating yourself. Do you need a doctor?

Never forget!

Any time a murder is perpetrated for poltical purposes . . .
It is a candidate for terrorism. we should not catgoricallydimiss that idea.

  • A bomb at a bus stop kills three people for political purposes → Yes, terrorism definitely.

  • A series of three assasinations commited by the same person or group → Yes, terrorism definitely.

  • A SINGLE assassination for political purposes? → Meh, maybe. Certainly, if the purpose is “to send a message to CEOs everywhere,” or “presidents everywhere,” or “to conservatives everywhere,” then yes, that is by definition terrorism.

From what I can see the popularity and support for Mangione where he is treated as a folk hero or an anti hero if you will comes from the widespread anger towards the US health insurance industry by the American public.

Whether it is true or not, many Americans view for profit insurers like UnitedHealthcare as putting profits over patient care and using dodgy practices such as denying claims, or delaying approvals. Regardless of the reality that is the public perception.

That perception is not helped when medical debt is rising and Health Insurance CEOs are earning approximately $123 million (combined).

Everyone has been frustrated at one tome or another with their health insurance and tens of thousands (maybe millions) of Americans have ended up in bankruptcy because of denied claims or other restrictive measures of their health insurance. Mangione taking the action he did resonated with people.

It also did not hurt that he is a good looking chap and not some rat faced weirdo.

Not saying any of the above is an excuse just my thoughts on why he is so popular.

The neat thing about not-socialism
is taht if you don’t like United Healthcare you don’t have to use it.

Before Obamacare changing was easy now it’s only a little harder.
So long as it is not single payer it is not single assigner.

What’s the difference between that and ‘I killed the guy who stole my wife to send a message’?

Only right wingers and Arabs can be terrorists. A white leftist American citizen cannot be a terrorist. It’s the law.

Thats only true if you have an individual policy. For employer health insurance unless they give you an option you have to go with who they select.

Very few employers give employees $$$ to buy their own.

Was a time when a back shooter was called out as the coward they are.

Deserves hanging.

You are right for the wrong reason. Terorrism against a corporation to anffect its policies doesn’t require for it to be political. It still can however be terrorism .

Long post to say nothing. Just wondering who the arbiter of ‘to send a message’. It’s the same with ‘hate crimes’. I’m just not a fan of nebulous categories of despicable crimes. The exception I see is in the elevation of non-lethal, or otherwise not serious crimes to ‘terrorism’ charges. But whether this guy killed this man for some broad politcal reason, or because he’s crazy or because he couldn’t pay his doctors bill, I’m just not sure it matters. He’s a sold cold murderer and should spend his life in jail.
