LGBTQ Club Mass Shooting

Very sad.

Can’t tell the players without a scorecard.

Let the pile on commence.

Drag show no less.

But it said all ages!

Assuming motive?

Love the fact that people subdued him before he can kill more.

Authorities have not released the gunman’s motive in the gay club attack. However, in a statement, the club referred to it as a “hate attack.”

I see nothing on that article indicating motive. In fact quite the contrary with the exception of one blatant attempt at constructing a narrative.

Are you falling victim to that one attempt?

 Come on man!

He killed 5 people and attempted to murder many others. What difference does it make if he did it because he hates men in dresses, or he simply hates night clubs? There’s no good excuse he could use, and he’s never seeing the light of day regardless of motive.

Gen Z. They hate gun violence. Tenaciously.

What difference does it make if the guy who drove his car into police recruits jogging did it because of a speeding ticket or because of politics?

It doesn’t make a difference to me. It’s like wondering why a girl doesn’t like you. Who cares, do you want to be with a girl that doesn’t like you for any reason?

hate from whom, toward whom?

I don’t know, did you put a gun to her head and blow her brains out when she turned you down? No? Not really analogous is it.

Where are we going with this hate stuff? If he hated police, are we going to say that all those who criticize police policies are responsible for his attack? If the killer in Colorado hated gays are we going to say that all people who say children should not be allowed in sexually oriented shows are responsible for his actions?

Shortly before midnight Saturday, a lone gunman, identified by police as 22-year-old Anderson Lee Aldrich, entered Club Q armed with a long rifle and immediately began shooting, according to Colorado Springs Police Chief Adrian Vasquez.

Five people were killed and at least 18 people were injured in the attack, which lasted less than ten minutes, and ended when the gunman was subdued by patrons of the club. “We know one or more patrons heroically intervened to subdue the suspect and we praised those individuals who did so because their actions clearly saved lives,” Colorado Springs mayor John Suthers said at a Sunday morning press conference.

Colorado governor Jared Polis, who is the country’s first openly gay governor, called the attack “horrific, sickening, and devastating” in a statement on Sunday morning.

Pretty interesting article. It seems this individual may have a record of threats and violence involving weapons, including explosives, from 2021. If it is the same individual from the 2021 incident, the question immediately becomes why was nothing done. As to the charges we have a murderer. Determine “his” motive, and use it as an aggravating factor for determining punishment.
