If the tests run by the federal government are so successful then why aren’t the states doing them? The job of the federal government is not to stand on street corners handing out tests. That’s why we have hospitals. Hospitals have beautiful tests. I’m sure you’re aware that states have their own governments that can do the testing. We have 50 states, and territories, who can do their own testing if testing is so important. Why should the federal government be involved at all? They are supposed to act as a backup system, not a leader on this type of thing. This is not what federal tax dollars are supposed to go towards. I bet that if we allow the private sector to do the tests they could even find a way to make testing profitable. That’s something that the federal government would have no idea how to achieve if they tried. Everyone knows that the federal government is incompetent.
You must be incredibly impressed by China then. Compared to the US, they’ve had 17% of the total cases and 21% of the total deaths. With over a billion more people than the US, that is truly astounding. By your logic, it looks like the Chinese healthcare system has run laps around both the US and Europe. Should we adopt the Chinese healthcare model since it has been so effective?
I assume this the part where we hear there’s a huge Chinese/WHO cover up and really there have been over 2 million cases and 72,000 deaths in China so at least the per capita numbers are the same as the US.
We really don’t know what happened in China.
That has been the biggest problem.
Leave it to a lib to advance Chinese communist authoritarian goverment/regime talking points/propaganda.
I definitely think the fall campaign slogan should be “Yeah we ■■■■■■ up…bad not as badly as Italy!”
Yeah…libs should run on that. Specially the body count.
“Libs” are in charge of the response to COVID?
Your beloved European socialist governments with all it’s free healthcare is in worst shape then United States. 140,000 more inflicted with 4 times as many deaths. And we have 10 million more people then those 5 countries combined.
Germany is doing just fine.
As is Denmark, Portugal, Iceland, Ireland, Norway.
All, out rides with “socialist medicine”…all with deaths per million lower than the US.
Several with cases/million lower than this US.
#CherryPick
Yes cherry pick. I’m sure Norway had dozens of flight a day coming into their country from Wuhan China as Seattle, New York, LA , Chicago, San Fransisco etc.
There it is. I’m not disappointed. There’s always some fun liberal/communist/socialist/foreign government conspiracy to solve all the republican problems. As expected. As delivered. Good times!
Lol. Complaining about cherry picking while ignoring China, Canada, South Korea, Australia, Japan, Mexico, Greece…the list goes on.
I know. Those will all be dismissed with contradictions and claims of conspiracy. Why bother?
Compare apples to apples. Those 5 countries mention in my OP has similar economic might, major hubs around the world, population and economics.
Please keep up.
If you get it, or someone close to you does and get’s very sick or dies with it, you’ll quickly figure out it very much does exist. CCCV.
No it’s a small number considering only a fraction of those will require hospitalization.
More than the normal seasonal flu? Yes, but this is not the “normal seasonal flu”, it’s more akin to a bad year with H1N1.
Last I saw, Canada and Japan were G7 countries. Spain isn’t. Japan has a larger population than any on your list. Perhaps you were unaware.
Japan is an Island that cut of travel with china as fast as they could.
They also have a population that is used to being ruled rather than governed who are trained from birth to support the state and to act for the Good of the Japanese people including sacrificing themselves willingly to help others.
You’re back to comparing apples to anvils in an attempt to formulate a favorable argument for your case.
Don’t forget New Zealand as well.
It has caused no deaths; it does not exist.
The numbers show otherwise but by all means, keep living in that imaginary universe where it does not.
