Legalizing Psychedelics

Yuck. It would have to be smoking it. Not injecting anything, and not looking for 5 hours of intensity, lol.

Ya it’s called the business mans trip because you could literally talk to God on your lunch break then be completely sober 30 minutes later

Too risky to ever put myself into that position in order to get back there again, but those few iterations of the universe being born and playing all the way through was the most real thing I’ve ever experienced. The last thing I remember was being forced back into this reality against my will. It was like being born all over again. lol

There’s nothing fun about smoking it either. It leaves a horrible metallic taste in your mouth and it will be one of the harshest feelings your lungs have ever suffered.

You will earn your enlightenment.

Definitely check out the book “the spirit molecule”. The documentary is meh. The book describes clinical trials more in depth

Sounds very surreal. One of the reasons I’m interested in the mushrooms is that it’s supposed to take away your fear of dying. Now I’m reasonably healthy as far as I know, and not close to death’s door, nor do I obsess about it. But, it would be nice not to have any fear.

Hmm. Enlightenment isn’t really what I’m seeking (not that I couldn’t use it, I’m sure). I just really want to see what it’s like to have things appear to move and distort, you know? Probably can’t have one without the other?

All of them do in my experience, but it’s not something that replaces the will to survive, either. It’s more of an understanding that goes deeper than simply knowing you’re going to “die” someday.

They say curiosity killed the cat, but I heard that satisfaction brought him back.

I will look for that. There are parts of “How to change your mind” that freak me out a little, and I have to put the book aside for a while…

You’re very helpful with all this. You always scare me with your descriptions, but it does always increase my knowledge.

Besides, we’ll never get along on political threads, so it’s nice to have this.

Who the hell needs politics when this universe is set up to enjoy each other’s company? lol

If my descriptions sound scary then I’m describing it the right way. People should know more about the negatives before they experience the positives. I’ve seen a few testimonials to say, an ayahuasca experience, but few of them tend to talk about how much time they spent shooting fluids from both ends of their bodies in order to get to that central state. It’s not all rainbows and magic, it’s you. Every bit of you, and if you’re not prepared for how much you there is, you can easily be overwhelmed.

Oh, yeah, definitely not something I’ve ever considered lightly. Scares me a lot. And then there’s my daughter, who takes mushrooms once a year or so, and says they’re like just a step above weed. So I just go back and forth, but I feel like I’m inevitably going to try them. Hopefully they don’t cause fluids from both ends, lol.

“The spirit molecule” is just a documentation on clinical trials a researcher did, describing peoples reactions to the drug. It’s an awesome read. Its not a drug use book about recreation, just a description of effects. The things ppl experience are wild, but a common theme is people feel like theyve been abducted and spoken to by higher beings

I cant do psychedelics anymore. Cant handle them. I think some bad trips gave me PTSD

At least in the case of LSD the chemical is metabolized extremely quickly. It doesn’t stay in your system long (but the effects that it triggers do).

Come on sure, you understand the comedy of me saying a bad trip would be akin to me accidentally running into my ex wife? Geez.

Yes, I was eww’ing in your honor. lol

Thank you. I will look into that, and that might be a better read for me than the How To Change Your Mind seems to be.
