I went to a few TP rallies, both in my current home state (TN) and my former home state (KY). They were nothing more than whine-fests about Obama.

Honestly, it’s been a bit surreal hearing Trump supporters suggest the left can’t get over Trump winning, because the TP rallies were more or less group therapy sessions for right-wingers in response to Obama winning.
