Kentucky couple fit with ankle monitors, placed on house arrest, for refusing to sign quarantine documents

One mans dictator is another ones concerned public health official.

We get it.

You don’t like to be told what to do when it comes to public health crisis.

Tough ■■■■■

If you had it and refused to sign the quarantine order.

I’d personally slap it on your ankle without reservations.

We get it, you want people jailed for not doing what you do. Tough ■■■■ .

Not jailed, an ankle bracelet does the trick.

Allan

Same thing, comrade.

Should gun owners have an ankle bracelet too? Good lord.

Hell we should have just given all Muslims an ankle bracelet after 9/11. That’d be cool, right?

This makes me queasy. Ankle monitors make them feel like they’re being tracked like animals.

And to think, they’re clamoring for more government power under a Trump Administration.

Good times. lol

But they are being tracked like animals, and you could be next.

I’ve been thinking that the whole time… probably because they think Biden will win and have those expanded powers too.

In that case, we’ll just wait for January so the libs can be against this kind of thing again. lol

What you feel is of little merit here.

This was classic bureaucratic overreach.

Why were they bothering to pretend this was even voluntary quarantine?

She had an objection to the form and their response was to escalate to ankle monitors.

This shows in the bureaucrats’ minds it was never a voluntary thing and they ought to have been upfront about that.

She volunteered to take the test. She didn’t have to do that. She could have just gone to Michigan.

No consideration was given of that…it was all “just follow our petty rules or face the consequences”.

It’s just a mask.
It’s just six feet.
It’s just two weeks.
It’s just non-essential workers.
It’s just a bar.
It’s just a restaurant.
It’s just to keep from overwhelming the hospitals.
It’s just until the cases go down.
It’s just to flatten the curve.
It’s just a few inmates.
It’s just to keep others from being scared.
It’s just for a few more weeks.
It’s just church.
It’s just a bracelet.
It’s just an app.
It’s just for tracing.
It’s just to let people know you’re safe to be around.
It’s just to let others know who you’ve been in contact with.
It’s just a blood test.
It’s just a test.
It’s just a scan.
It’s just for medical information.
It’s just to store a vaccination certificate.
It’s just a few places that don’t take cash.
It’s just so you can travel.
It’s just so you can get your driver’s license.

It’s just some of your freedom. :man_shrugging:

Yes because these are all the exact same thing.

One led to another. Totally different though.

From the article she was concerned that she would have to call and get permission to go to the ER if she needed to.

I have my doubts that that was the case.

I don’t see any form waiving one’s right to emergency care actually being a thing that would hold up anywhere.

That is the erroneous part imo

Agreed. The ankle monitor was too far.

Seems reasonable to me.

They didn’t incarcerate them.

Just going to track them.

Allan

I’d like to see the form myself instead of using hearsay evidence.

Post it and let’s have a look at it.

Allan

I don’t see anything about emergency rooms.

I am only going from the objections listed in the article by the person who refused to sign it.

When I read that, my response was one of credulity.

I couldn’t see how that would even be a real thing nor a reason to refuse to sign something.

Just remember, if you test negative for antibodies you could still have T cell immunity, they don’t check for that. It is the longer term immunity, if you got exposed 4-5 months ago your short term immune boost may have already passed. It is much more precise within the first 3 months post exposure.
