I’m sure the people in Ashvillle will be thrilled to hear the number one priority of FEMA is ensuring DEI

I’m sure the people in Asheville have more important concerns than culture-war nonsense outrage over FEMA’s website content.

You guys live in the weirdest little bubble.

I’d imagine the people actually affected by this disaster don’t give a rip. This the culture warriors trying to stir up discord

No, I don’t think that’s the problem here.

Who cares what the FEMA website says?

I bet the people in Asheville don’t. At least not right now.

But they’ll be thrilled to hear that their relief will be looked at through a DEI lense! “Not optional”

I think they’ll be happy to receive aid from FEMA, and won’t care about any of the culture war buzzwords on the website that you’re so concerned about.

I know that would be my primary concern when I’m floating on the hood of a Honda accord “What does the FEMA website say about DEI”

Why did they put it on the website?

Here is what I see on the first page

I think FEMA has learned some important lessons from the ■■■■ show called Katrina. I think they’ll do a better job this time.

I don’t know. You should investigate, it sounds like a super important mystery to solve.

But you riding a Honda isn’t FEMA’s primary concern.

My favorite part of that article:

“After Hurricane Helene broke out, leaving over 100 dead across six states and millions without power, social media users began criticizing FEMA’s strategic plan in the midst of the damage.”

Ooh. “Social media users began criticizing…”

Dude. RW media influencers Robby Starbuck and Robert Malone are sitting in their warm dry homes eating takeout and they decide to internet surf over to FEMA website on their fully charged and internet accessed laptops to find something to gin up outrage and post that to SOCIAL MEDIA.

And then oh look there’s Fox news making a whole article about their tweets and then here’s you.

How have you become so broken? These guys could be real men get up off their butts and help, but instead throwing spitballs at the helpers from their warm beds?

I can’t even anymore.

That was a bit more complicated than you’re making it.

Yes FEMA and the LA state agencies failed New Orleans.

But the Superdome was stocked with supplies and the guard was on hand to provide security and medical care. It just got overloaded because the guard expected that they wouldn’t have that many people due to the mandatory evacuation order two days before.

It was the convention center where ■■■■ really hit the fan. Because it was never designated an emergency shelter and had absolutely zero supplies but a ton of people who couldn’t get to the Superdome showed up there. To be fair, they should have done that and I think if it happened again today every building in the area would have been designated an emergency center and stocked. But this was a storm of the century and they hadn’t dealt with anything on that level since hurricane Camille in the 60s.

It is when I visit their website. It’s all over the front page.

Yeah, that’s the world we live in. “Some guy on twitter said…” is news when it feeds the narrative.

I didn’t ask for this Metal Gear Solid 2 world but that’s what I ended up with.

That not what their governor says:
