You don’t have to listen to China’s message.
Just google it.
I saw the map of China’s countryside.
The landscape is devided with greenery, seen from the air, and plots are so miniature where those who own them have just enough land to feed them self, MAYBE, and maybe one cow.
THAT is the hope China can sell to people?
No thank you.
They still have red rubber hoses for intravenous drips in the some hospitals.
Talk about primitive …
But the elite in China…?
Yeah…they have Billioners there.

I never said she shouldnt and choosing her makes sense. But now I am aware of VOA still being a thing my question is what value does it provide the taxpayer?
How does it benefit the US to continue to spend millions of dollars on propaganda? No one yet had given me an explanation on the ROI we are getting or have got from VOA.
VPN usage in countries with repressive regime continues to increase as does their access to the internet.
One country we could help immediately is Cuba by ending the idiotic embargo. Then Google, Apple etc make their app stores available to Cubans.
VOA might come under scrutiny with these very questions. So could 1000 other government offices and functions and operations. And each ought to be able to answer the call, or else they’ll be recommended for elimination.
And that is exactly what got me thinking about the value of VOA.
I am not against what DOGE will do but I am concerned about ensuring this does not give Musk some sort of advantage for his own busineses. I know they are only making recommendations so hopefully our elected reps are not so enamored with Musk that they follow DOGE recommendations blindly.
And countries like Russia and China continue to block access to outside internet to their citizens, so shortwave sites like VOA still play an important part in information warfare.
Look, it’s a way to wage war. And god knows we need all the help we can get.
