You’ve made several good posts in this thread. Congress abdicated a lot of power. They only want it back when they have an agenda.

While I don’t disagree with the sentiment - Congress has abdicated a large amount of power to the Executive over the last 100 years or so - this particular issue is a more fundamental separation of powers issues.
The Legislature writes the rules, and the Executive enforces them. Congress has never had power to punish.
And a thorn in their side to many anti Trump activists.
In other words…exactly like what’s going to happen here.
And the “conservative” press pilloried the ■■■■ our of Obama…just like the “liberal” press will do to Trump.
Same game…same players…switched sides.
Congress has the right to read the report.
The appropriate precedent was the Trump Justice Department meeting every subpoena request for the past two years when the R’s held power and now blocking every D request.
One thing we knew when Nixon insisted his tapes were “privileged”. If they exonerated them they would have been released immediately. History repeats itself… and as Marx observed, the first time as tragedy, the second time as farce.

No, only specific members can go read it not all.
