I just read what may have contributed to this and agree I’m wrong. The available deductions went down, thus you paid more in taxes. I didn’t understand SALT deductions.

I try to be nuanced when talking about taxes. Yes, my federal taxes were cut. However my deductions were also cut. Meaning, net, my tax bill increased significantly.
CA hasn’t increased state taxes in a while (sales tax varies by county). Nor have they reduced my deductions in a while.

The rhetoric of HATE is abused and becoming desensitized.
Simply rejecting a twitter bully is not the appropriate time for such extreme emotion.

Manchin’s announced “no” vote against Tanden made her confirmation unlikely given Republican resistance to her nomination. At this time no GOP senator has come out in favor of her confirmation, and she would need a Republican to save her chances at confirmation.
