I’d imagine the judge knows he has no chance of actually killing this case because Mueller is following pretty standard protocol for taking down an organized crime family but is just putting out irrelevant chatter to discredit Mueller. It’s spectacularly cynical and craven.
It’s not like Trump was selling favorable treatment through a foundation or something…lol!

Seems to me district judge is losing it’s temper with Mueller investigation.
Although Mueller’s authority has been tested in court before, Friday’s hearing was notable for District Judge T.S. Ellis’ decision to wade into the divisive political debate around the investigation.
“You don’t really care about Mr. Manafort’s bank fraud,” Ellis said to prosecutor Michael Dreeben, at times losing his temper. Ellis said prosecutors were interested in Manafort because of his potential to provide material that would lead to Trump’s “prosecution or impeachment,” Ellis said.

Yeah it appears the Judge has a history of being the harshest on the side he ends up agreeing with.

His next BIG finding is some Russian trolls who will never see a courtroom in this country.
He didn’t get indicted. He was just forced to resign under a cloud of corruption in the US Attorney’s Firing Scandal, along with the Attorney General and 9 other Senior DOJ officials and WH Counsel Harriet Miers.
Yes, the judge wants the the unredacted scope memo that that outlines the Russia probe, one of those the Congressional Republicans wanted, well the judge is demanding the document, I wonder if they’ll ignore him too, like they did the Congressional Oversight Comm.?
