Of course they shouldn’t, but it happens. My aunt buried her infant daughter and was never the same again. She was in her twenties at the time, and within about 25 years was dead of drug and alcohol abuse. I saw first hand what I can do to someone.
God rest you John McCain. You were a good man.
Undoubtedly it is the hardest thing they have to do. Losing a child is the worst, especially when they are young.
As I just posted, the death of her baby daughter ruined by aunt’s life. It had a profound effect on my mom too (they were sisters).
Rest in peace, Mr. McCain.

He was diagnosed last July (BBC) lasted 13 months, about average. My brother was diagnosed with the same tumor last month.

I wish peace for him and his family. That one disease above all else I would love to see eradicated from this earth. It has taken away so many, and a lot during the prime of their life.
