It should have been up to the Senators to determine the credibility of the witnesses. Part of the way of determining the credibility of the witnesses is whether there is corroborating evidence via other witnesses and documentation.
It is absolutely laughable and farcical to take any stock with the verdict of this impeachment trial of Donald Trump given that no witnesses were called and no documents were available for the Senators to peruse.
