Here we are in 2023 and there are still threads about how “COVID wasn’t so bad.” and “The vaccine didn’t work.” Just wild, ignorant, laugh in the face of reality bull ■■■■ you thought would have died off. But nope.

Thank you…folks like the poster you responded to have a very narrow view of the meaning of words…if you don’t interpret the language the way they see it they decide they can judge your “reasonableness”…
The reality is we were misled from the start…this wasn’t a naturally occurring event that originated in a wet market. It was an engineered virus coming from the Wuhan institute of virology that infected the world. People involved in advising the president also had things to hide…like dr Fauci…
I believe that coupled with the left’s desire to control our lives coupled with the chance to get a chunk of all the money getting tossed around led to the mitigation measures for the virus going on longer and being more restrictive than was needed…
TNT bashes “some version of the old and infirm”…I don’t know why anyone would attack that simple logic. If you were a healthy person without a bunch of pre existing conditions even if you caught the kung flu you were going to be ok. Focusing preventive measure in the people who needed extra attention and getting government restrictions out everyone else’s lives would have been a perfectly reasonable approach.
What was done accomplished exactly the worst possibility…not only did alot of people die…but the lasting negative effects of the “mitigation” measures have made the cure worse than the disease…particularly for the young people who’s lives and educational opportunities were turned upside down.
And let’s not forget…the states that did the best during the pandemic were states with good Republican governors who rejected the hysteria of the left…

Start listening at 15:00 in the 2nd video, that is where she gets into what is counted as “a covid death”. Tells me that MANY died WITH covid but not FROM covid. She even said “even if there is a clear cause of death”…makes one wonder what the TRUE number is for those that actually died from covid.

Yup. And I think there’s a q&a at the end where the reporters ask questions. She’s asked about a shooting victim that tests positive for Covid and says “yes, that would count as a Covid death.”

Interesting. She later explains how her office separated the data.
“Dr. Ngozi Ezike, the director of the Illinois Department of Public Health, says that in her department’s accounting of COVID-19 related fatalities, they have found that less than 0.6% of the deaths classified as COVID fatalities involved another primary cause of death that wasn’t related to the virus itself.”
So they did autopsies on every body that was diagnosed with Covid, died, but no other obvious cause of death was apparent?
That is the only way to determine if covid was or was not the actual cause of death.

(ahem) “COVID deaths” the shut-down resulted in one additional death.

So Let’s see . . . . according to @tnt and @Publius the number of COVID deaths was 1,000,000. Logically since 1,000,000 is the two-thirds portion how many people were in the one-third portion? How many people died as a result of the wrong-minded heavy-handed shutdown?

In the last seven days only 1116 people were reported to have died from Covid in the entire world … 1116 people out of 8 billion. By anyone’s metric, that is “virtually nobody.”
And the only thing Biden had to do with COVID was that he fought the release of the vaccine before the election killing numerous Americans in his bid to blame Trump for the disease and use it to get himself elected. And then after getting elected blame Trump for the doubts about the vaccine he caused himself.

completely false narrative. Masks have been proven time and time again to have done absolutely nothing.
They did not prevent anyone from getting COVID. They did not slow the spread. They could have, if everyone had a k95 mask and discarded it for a new one every time they touched it.

Woohoo . I’m still alive! No jab. If I have had Covid since 2020, no one knows because I wouldn’t take the test. I wonder how many people are just like me? I refuse to be counted.
In the medical field I have been around sick people for the last 25 years. Ya know what has kept me healthy? Clean living and I wash my hands.
