You are confused. The presumption of innocence only applies to criminal accusations. Kavanaugh was not charged with a crime. He had no right to due process under the law. His situation was very much like that of the Governor of Virginia … all is fair in love and war and politics.
The powers that states have that are not enumerated to the federal government in the Constitution are what has traditionally been called state’s rights.
That doesn’t matter in the least. A ruling to legalize same-sex marriage is more consistent with the meaning of “equal protection”. That they didn’t understand this at the time changes nothing.
Again, same reasoning as above.
What point of mine are you addressing here?
This is just the same old deal where every ruling you disagree with is “judicial activism”.
Who is overthrowing the rights of the states? I get it you dont like teh gays getting married, but SCOTUS made the ruling to finally settle this dispute once and for all. Its a human rights issue that was settled. Bernie is more of a new deal democrat.
I’m assuming you’re also anti police departments, fire fighter departments, prisons, having a military, etc?
I mean forcing us to pay into things that benefit society!!! Ridiculous!! If people want protection against criminals, then they can hire their own body guard. But don’t force me to pay for it!!
Why should I pay for a fire department when my house never burned. Fire protection is a personal choice!!!
