they were overconfident in 2016 so they did not put too much attention into what they needed to rig. They are resolved not to let that happen again.
especially since with Trump in office again, they will make it even somewhat harder to rig it, and they cannot abide by that

I would have thought so too, but the winning itself was not what “made my life“ it was the observation of how the haters reacted, and that there was finally outward proof of it.
