US Media are doing all they can to minimize the extent of Hamas atrocities, and even more the extent of outside support for Hamas.
Latest news (minimally spotlighted) is the extent of embedded UN personnel in Hamas, and direct support of UNRWA, including banks of computer servers connected directly to UNRWA.

I expect that lots of Hamas fighters mingle into the masses of citizens that IDF moves to safer locations.
They’re never going to eliminate all Hamas members. What will make a total victory is when the Palestinian population at large decides to reject Hamas among them. (On par with the elimination of Nazism. No population at large endorses Nazism nowadays, even though there will always be pockets of Nazis and pseudo-Nazi wannabes in the world.)
Until Palestinians reject Hamas among them, they’re going to suffer the collateral damage of IDF’s war with Hams. And that war will continue until Hamas is neutralized. (And it should continue until then!)
