The coverage of Trump’s presidency is negative because he is not up to the job of leading the nation. He is an uninformed, vain liar. He continues to skirt the fact that Russia has undermined our democratic process and is doing so even now. He is beholden to Putin for some reason we do not yet fully understand. He refuses to denounce the white supremacists and neonazis who support him. He sucks up to despots like Putin, Kim Jong Un, Duterte and Erdogan while distancing us from our traditional allies. His administration has separated children from their parents with no plan on how to reunite them. He is a small, insecure man who feeds on big rallies full of his supporters who cheer at his nonsense, who lies about trivia like crowd sizes, who needs a big expensive military parade to make him feel like a big shot.

That statement is complete opinion. Mine differes in that he is doing an acceptable job (not outstanding, but far better than Bamma did or Hillary would have.)

This has been going on since before Trump was a candidate, and will continue long after. US does the same thing – hell we’ve gone in and actually overthrown governments.
Obama sucked up to worse people like Iran. We’ve been soft with are “allies” for a long time. They just are not used to the US saying “hey, we are not going to be the punching bag anymore.” And it’s about damn time.

You may not have liked the Iran agreement, but President Obama did not kiss up to any Iranians, or call them great people, or brag about ‘getting along with them’ like a sycophantic middle schooler.

I agree with this. All news sources should be taken with a strong critical eye. WAPO, NYT, etc., are not the enemies of the people, but they are certainly Trump’s enemies. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
