Let’s be more clear. If you are black, it’s best if you comply, keep your mouth shut except for yes sir/no sir, ignore all the indignity - you are likely to survive. Yes afterwards you will feel less of a man but at least you’ll get to live with that for the rest of your lives.
But if you’re white, stand up for your right. No matter how aggressive you are. Chances of you surviving is about 99%.
