They haven’t had enough cases to demonstrate their preparedness.
It’s not okay, but I can’t stop you.
3730 confirmed cases and 18 deaths already. I don’t see how that’s “doing much better”.
They have tested 65,000 people as of the 28th.
At about the same time we were denying a single test because we did not have enough kits…
The virus hit there six weeks before we had the first case in the US.
You think maybe that has something to do with it?
Okay … my info was from today’s newspaper.
When you actually have the ability to test you are able to collect data, it’s amazing, the CDC should try it.
No … because the case did not meet pre CORVID 19 protocol. Three days later, the protocol was changed and the test was done. What is the problem?
There’s a live update here:
So far now it’s up to 22 dead with 4,212 confirmed cases.
This is so much better than the US?
The protocol was garbage, that’s the problem. She was positive.
Wow, you should immediately call their hotline with that suggestion, I bet no one there ever thought of it!
There protocols are based on what is known at any given time. By all means though you should straighten them out.
Anyway, have a good night Samm. The news will be worse tomorrow, garaunteed.
So you think the protocol for testing should have been in place before the virus was identified? You should be the head of the CDC.
We apparently should have hit the panic button as soon as it arose in China and the CDC should have had millions of test kits available within 24 hours of the virus being typed, or something like that.
There are more than 8 in WA. They transferred 5 of the cruise ship cases into a WA hospital close to me alone. I know they don’t want to start a panic, but it will be worse if they try to deceive people about the realities.
You realize there’s a difference in possible and confirmed cases and that this is a rapidly changing scenario. It’s not possible to get accurate info updates in real time.
If they start doing that there are going to be a huge number of mistakes making the situation even worse.
Just like any breaking news situation, early on reports are going to be incomplete and will often be wrong.
I seriously doubt that it’s a lack of give a damn or an intent to deceive and if it proves to be then some heads need to roll.
The 5 I’m referencing are confirmed and from the cruise ship. It’s because there is an isolation ward here. Add those 5 to the other confirmed and it’s more than 8 I’m pretty sure.
Washington has confirmed 13 cases of the virus so far, including the two deaths.
Again, it’s breaking news, someone is not getting the updates to that site in a timely manner but there are other sources.
What are your governor and state health authorities doing to keep timely info available to you?
So far, I have no idea. I haven’t seen anything directly from him. But I don’t live in WA, just close to the border where they sent the cruise ship cases.
