Is the Biden plan to balloon our population a good idea?

I see you are still hanging on to the original stupid debating trick . . . attacking the messenger when you can’t refute the content of the message.

As to “assumptions”, my only assumption which is irrefutable is, the current flow of foreigners crossing our southern border have one or more of the following characteristics . . . Being poverty stricken, poorly educated, low skilled, disease carrying, disabled and/or having a criminal background

Finally, I see you avoided answering the following question:

How are American Citizens to pay for the economic needs of those invading our southern border when our nation’s debt, including unfunded liabilities, is over $200 TRILLION, and many of our own CITIZENS are in need?

JWK

Our socialist revolutionaries, which now control the Democrat Party Leadership, want elderly American citizens, who were forced to pay into Medicare all their lives, to surrender and share their Medicare Trust fund with millions of foreigners who have invaded America’s borders. LINK

John, I mean this in a sincerely nice and supportive way …

The rolling eyes guy, you need variety, there’s gotta be something as good out there to put into a rotation.

Edit: just saw the post above … nice selection.

Ok. Then may I have two or three of your top news sources? Remember, they don’t have to be perfect. :smirk:

Quotes like that are like video of him bragging about using his office to squish an investigation into Hunter or about the extent of the vote fraud machine in place: they either bounce harmlessly off of noggins they’ve bounced off of before or it’s a bit like handing out ammo to the choir.

I’ve yet to see a reply when I post them where someone says “wow, I had no idea! You’ve been right!”

I post such quotes often, mind you, I just don’t expect much.

And I see you’re still repeating yourself.

They probably are all poverty stricken… thats a logical conclusion, its the rest that are assumptions based stereotypes that are problematic.

Taxes.

My following comment is factually correct and not an “assumption”:

The current flow of foreigners crossing our southern border have one or more of the following characteristics . . . Being poverty stricken, poorly educated, low skilled, disease carrying, disabled and/or having a criminal background

And I see you would engage in tax tyranny upon American Citizens to pay for the economic needs of those invading our Southern Border.

One of our foregathers addressed your very kind of tax tyranny as follows:

“Under a just and equal Government, every individual is entitled to protection in the enjoyment of the whole product of his labor, except such portion of it as is necessary to enable Government to protect the rest; this is given only in consideration of the protection offered. In every bounty, exclusive right, or monopoly, Government violates the stipulation on her part; for, by such a regulation, the product of one man’s labor is transferred to the use and enjoyment of another. The exercise of such a right on the part of Government can be justified on no other principle, than that the whole product of the labor or every individual is the real property of Government, and may be distributed among the several parts of the community by government discretion; such a supposition would directly involve the idea, that every individual in the community is merely a slave and bondsman to Government, who, although he may labor, is not to expect protection in the product of his labor. An authority given to any Government to exercise such a principle, would lead to a complete system of tyranny.” ___ See Representative Giles, speaking before Congress February 3rd, 1792

Do you just have a folder full of images of people rolling their eyes?

These are assumptions, not facts:

I already agreed that they are all probably poverty stricken. That’s a reasonable conclusion to make with how they are trying to immigrate. The rest, as I said, are assumptions based on stereotypes.

Yes, I know, you are against taxes and have a folder full of prepared quotes from judges, lawyers, founding fathers, etc. Save me the hyperbole and don’t bother. We have a fundamental disagreement that past conversations have already shown we cannot settle.

The media. Including conservative media has decided to let the investigation fade away. So that’s what will happen. If will never officially close. No findings will be released. Ever. It will simply stop being a topic.

Give it a rest. Maybe for just five minutes? Try it. You might like it.

Mind your own business.

Investigations into most anyone but Trump during the last 4 years now make me think of delaying tactics. Just keep up the appearance of things happening until it can all be quietly dropped and made to go away.

It’s my thread.

I’d like to keep it friendly. If over half of your conversations are spent discussing the flaws of your fellow posters, you are degrading and distracting from what is an otherwise brilliant thread. Stay dignified my friend.

Then take issue with johnwk calling me out earlier.

So now you resort to another stupid debating trick . . . taking my words out of context and then attacking the words you took out of context.

My following comment is factually correct and not an “assumption”:

The current flow of foreigners crossing our southern border have one or more of the following characteristics . . . Being poverty stricken, poorly educated, low skilled, disease carrying, disabled and/or having a criminal background

In regard to “disease carrying”, one of the characteristics I mentioned, see Surge in COVID-positive migrants being released in US

March 8, 2021

The number of migrants testing positive for the coronavirus before being released into the US by the Border Patrol is surging, almost doubling the amount from last week, according to a report.

Felipe Romero, a spokesman for Brownsville, Texas, said 185 migrants rapid-tested at the city’s main bus station showed they were infected with COVID-19, up from the 108 who tested positive last week, Fox News reported Monday.

The bottom line question to be answered remains:

Is the Biden Administration promoting the general welfare of the United States and her citizens by allowing the current flow of foreigners to flood across the Southern border of the United States?

What context was lost?

We already saw earlier in this thread that slightly less than half lack a HS education, so yes, you are making assumptions. It’s okay to make assumptions… just don’t call them facts.

Yes, some of them have covid… not all.

I don’t think that’s a yes/no question. There are places he could do better, everybody should be processed properly, checked for Covid, criminals should be filtered out, and children should not be separated from parents or put in inhumane living conditions. But I also don’t think allowing more immigrants in is hurting the general welfare. It just needs to be done better.

Fair point. I didn’t see it though. But nobody should do that. I notice more from the people who are constantly doing it with me. I try to stay away from the personal crap. But when they go after me, I hit back twice as hard. Which usually earns me a few days off. Which actually is needed. Too much of this crap will ruin your brain.

What I posted ABOVE is not an assumption, it’s a fact. Stop misrepresenting what I have posted as an “assumption”.

JWK

My brain was ruined long ago.

Nice!
:+1:

Same. But I’m in denial.

How can you say its a fact that all the foreigners crossing our southern border have at least one of the following characteristics: poorly educated, low skilled, disease carrying, disabled and/or having a criminal background, without interviewing every single one?

Do we have a fundamental disagreement on what a fact is vs an assumption?
