Is Kabul 2021 becoming Saigon 1975?

And Kamala’s isn’t much better. All that inappropriate giggling is disturbing. Not to mention she has been an epic failure at every assignment she has been given. Were in the middle of a seriously dangerous ■■■■ show.

I won’t attempt to answer that. I’m not entirely sure I even can.

No doubt it could be done better. America has had enough, it was going to happen one way or another and soon.

Once again, Jbiden plagiarized somebody else’s plan and screwed it up.

Plagiarized?

He wanted out as much as anybody.

As to screwing it up, the Taliban are taking over no matter how “orderly” we exit.

Yet you can spend time posting how you can’t answer or aren’t sure how to?

Yes. No he didn’t. When he was VP A-stan was where the focus should be.

Of course they were; orderly for us. Requires a little space/time.

You’re right he should never have signed the Doha agreement in February 2020 agreeing to withdraw troops in 14 months

I’m no expert. Maybe some of both, mixed with respect to those who lost something or someone there. I lost enough friends to Vietnam, what did that get us? There are certain areas where I tread lightly.

Why not?

I’m not an expert, either.

And that’s the thing: this was going to happen regardless of when and how we left.

The only hope we had was the Afghan army, that we spent billions on to train and equip, only to see them melt away. Much like the Iraqis and ISIS.

Not true.

The place is a ■■■■■■■■ filled with uncivilized barbarians.

Once the Taliban have full control of Kabul it’s going to make the fall of Saigon look like a mere disagreement. They are going to slaughter everyone who ever helped NATO forces in any kind of way. And not a nice bullet to the head like the NVA did in Saigon. They will be bringing out medieval executions and torture executions.

Then we would not have this ongoing cluster

15 years ago or 15 years from now, this was the inevitable result.

How so? You think the agreement is the problem?

I am happy we are leaving, at the same time one can wonder or criticize if the way it’s being done is the correct way considering what’s going on there right now on the ground.

One can’t forget who the people coming in to feel void are, and even being a person with a more isolationist view like me I can’t help but wonder if a few years from now troops will not be back asked to go back into Afghanistan as it will likely turn into a jihadist playground for groups like Isis.

It is amazing that 2500 U.S. soldiers were keeping the country from regressing back to be taken over by the Taliban. The women there will be the ones getting ready to live in hell again. I don’t know the whole situation is just sad to watch play out, and seeing the backwards taliban pushing forward on bicycles or taking a picture smiling beside a captured helicopter with a sword and one tooth, it’s kind of embarrassing to.
