A woke liberal “worldly” friend of mine says she doesn’t know what to say when her European friends say they want eventually to travel to the US but are afraid of all the crime. I told her to tell them to pull out an election map. Avoid the blue areas and stay in the red areas. The red areas are among the safest places in the world.

She was far less amused than I though she would be. Probably because I was speaking from a place of privilege. 
All too true.
To be more specific if they just avoid certain parts of the cities they’ll find lower crime than they are used to at home.

not seeing it.
I heard a bit on the radio news the other day that with all the recent quitting and retirements, the police force in Seattle is now smaller than what it was in 1990, while the population is up 60%. It’s a disaster waiting to happen.

Too bad that instead of noticing and learning from it democrats have in the last few years done everything they could to erase those gains.
What could possibly go wrong when you take such steps along with emptying the prisons?
Same in the RSA in the eighties and nineties after the end of Apartheid along with cops being ambushed and murdered in horrendous ways to get their guns.
