I don’t spend much time weighing these candidates yet. There’s so much time left there’s no telling what lies are yet to be told or what truths are yet to be discovered. This field will self thin.
That’s changing the subject. We were talking a specific lie.
Besides, I argued for keeping Gitmo open so I’m glad that turned out to be a “lie” and not just a campaign promise. Maybe he should have claimed a national emergency. Hindsight’s 20/20.
He agrees that climate change is a problem and if we don’t do something, we will see devastating results, but he never said he would sign the bill, if it came across his desk.
He said if we don’t address climate change in the next 12 years, we are on the verge of becoming extinct, or something to that effect, in the terms of AOC. Of all the presidential candidates who’ve endorsed this green deal, not one has said it in that extreme manner. I also call it extreme to try to actually say he wants to pack the court with 6 more supreme court justices. That is why Klochubar I think is one who I think can be termed as more of a moderate liberal. I haven’t heard any of the other contenders say that they want to pack the court. Now I’m even reticent to calling Klochubar moderate cause because of some of her views on other things it is just comparative to the others. I see her as a dark horse, that if there is any moderate tendency, it is more in terms of her (or Biden), but packing the court and/or we’re all gonna die unless we get rid of fossil fuels in 12 years, (of course saying absolutely nothing about China which has double our emissions) just one of those two things I put him in the extreme camp.
You’re not going to find any candidate who says that. Who knows what the bill would look like after it got through congress.
O’Rourke strongly endorsed the Green New Deal.
Your biased perception does not make it so. Unlike liberals in general and Democrats in particular, conservatives and Republicans are capable of separating Trump’s deeds from his personality.
I’m not being obtuse, I am being factual. Testimony that is demonstrated to be false is disregarded by the jury at the direction of the Judge. In the record, it’s as if the testimony was not placed into evidence.
Beto’s problem (like so many politicians) is that he surrounds himself with people who think like he does. He probably thinks that everyone buys into the so-called green deal except for the far right who wouldn’t vote for him if he was the only name on the ballot. He may think that getting on that band wagon (being pulled by a team of asses) is a winning move. I think it (along with his shaky past and his open boarder stance) will seal his defeat.
Don’t be silly. In a perjury case, the demonstrated lie is the primary evidence against the person who committed it. We were talking about it being evidence in a case where the perjury was committed. In that case the perjured testimony is thrown out of evidence. If someone is found to be lying during the perjury trail, then that testimony is thrown out too and that liar can be charged as well.
