Is a fair trial possible in Minneapolis?

Oh well that makes it okay then.

Well, not all of us anyway. I’m not that into snuff. lol

You’re right, I’m sure it’s harmless. I do wonder why cops use that move to subdue people, though. How does it work?

You know anybody who can hold their breath for 8 minutes and beg while doing it?

It was an approved department move when he did it, they taught him to use it.

Of course. I wonder if he was supposed to do it for 8+ full minutes though.

Funny you’d phrase it like that, considering I know you know how asphyxiation actually works.

It looks like how I articulated 2nd degree was inaccurate:

What do you think is the correct sentence for Chavin?

what was slow motion about it? I have a nephew who died from a fentanyl overdose. he came home from a party, sat, talked a minute, went to bed and never woke up.

it doesn’t, but it does show he was in distress before anything happened.

Every state has slightly different murder laws.

In Minnesota, I believe 3rd Degree Murder is the appropriate charge for Chauvin. It’s what’s called “depraved heart” murder.

From what I understand he was supposed to do it until the ambulance arrived. According to department training and policy at the time he did it.

That’s like saying I will win the election if it is not rigged.

Allan

He was following his departments training and policy.

That’s not an overdose. That’s an opiate suppressing your breathing reflex while you sleep. Central sleep apnea.

A fentanyl OD, you take the drug, you fall out immediately. Bam.

So anything police departments set as policy cannot be criminal? That’s your argument?

its an overdose. fairly certain i know what the death certificate said.

Tell me exactly what it said then. The medico-legal terms.

looking at the statutes I believe thats the closest one.

From taking too much drug. Not an overdose though. lol
