I look at permits as little more that fashion police.
Without a permit I can wear a gun on my hip and be perfectly legal. If it gets cloudy out and I put on a jacket…now I’m a felon.

I didn’t realize you approved of police corruption.
The deal is most states you don’t need a permit to carry a weapon…only to carry concealed.
So if the 2nd Amendment had mentioned concealment…
Sadly that’s not how it goes.
While it may never be possible to achieve the end of corruption within government, we must avoid being passive to it lest we become a country where corruption is an accepted practice. I find that to be one of the main the differences between our country and most others.
The problem is out top law enforcement is corrupt as all to hell.
