Do you have any real evidence this is the case? These troops were already armed, so how will your assertion change anything?

What the hell?
It appears that this act did nothing but up the ante in stopping illegal immigration. Trump is sending in armed troops. If Mexico is now going to do their part and stop these people from crossing through Mexico, this sounds like a one, two punch that should have a serious impact on this illegal flow.
So now we’re just handing weapons of war over to Mexican troops in Texas?

Not a good post Allan. You are willfully blind to what is happening. You are a good person and they are taking advantage of you.
so what do you propose for the children?

Change the asylum law. There is no reason to grant asylum to any one from Honduras, Guatemala or El Salvador.
Now how bout another proposal that is realistic as that is not.
Allan
WuWei:
Why is it not realistic?
Due to todays political climate in American.
You have an anti immigration president v a pro immigration house.
NO immigration laws will be passed until we have a new president.
Thats is political reality. once the national emergency was passed circumventing congress.
the handwriting is on the wall.

The House is pro-illegal immigration?
Why is the House (as you put it) “pro immigration?”
Because the President is against immigration.

So the House is “pro” just because the President is against?
The Dems ran on a pro immigration platform in my swing district (NJ-07) and ousted the incumbent who for better or worse (in this case worse) was stuck with the albatross Trump.

Why are they “pro immigration”?
They feel the travel ban is bad policy.
Not sure why you put pro immigration in quotation marks.
Here is my congressman’s take on immigration (colored of course him being an immigrant himself)
https://malinowskifornj.com/immigration
and here was him hammering the Republican incumbent.
In a battleground congressional district, CD7 Democratic challenger Tom Malinowski this afternoon upbraided his rival, incumbent U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance (R-7), against the backdrop of a national immigration debate. The Trump administration backs a...
Est. reading time: 2 minutes
“Malinowski said he supports the Keep Families Together Act, sponsored by Senator Dianne Feinstein, which would end the practice of family separation and currently has 48 cosponsors in the Senate. It has not been considered by GOP leadership in the House, or received comment from Speaker Paul Ryan, who Lance eagerly supports”
it was hammer time and Malinowski, the democrat defeated the incumbent tying him to Trump’s anti immigration stance.

What are you talking about the “travel ban”? What does that have to do with this?
Because it’s an invasion, not immigration.
Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador are not communist.

No Allan. “Bad” does not asylum justify.
“credible fear” does however.
