From here on out, I want to be referred to as Miss Kitty, as I self identify as a feline.
Babies are born male or female. Those with various chromosomal and other anomalies make up a small percentage of human beings, and it doesn’t seem to me they’re demanding preferred gender pronouns.
Is he throwing up and losing sleep over having to pee every five minutes, too?
Equal possibilities my arse. That was actually part of a police academy entrance exam I saw, something like who should be the first person to he carried from an accident, and one of the possibilities was a pregnant PERSON
Preparing for a time out in saying ONLY WOMEN CAN BECOME PREGNANT. It’s not being asked to treat those different with respect that’s so ridiculous, but being asked to accept these total deviations of reality.
they are not made up. they are actual earned titles, on merit, etc. not based on personality/vanity dysphoric mental disorders
“you can call me chip” nickname is not a shrieking nutcase over being called “sir”
sometimes, yes.
that’s no more bizarre than “zhe”
except the left of course. they can be as unhinged as they want huh?
worst part of a leftists day is not getting called by their new silly contrived dreamed up pronoun. but they dont have to get over that. they have the right to rage all day
isnt the left ever a little too preoccupied by what pronoun people use? funny the burden always falls on the part of society obeying the rules of speech and conduct in place since about the 1200’s.
same question out to those who expect to be referred to by one of the dozen or so pronouns just invented for the many dozens of genders just invented
It doesn’t bother me to call someone using the pronoun they “demand.” Just like it doesn’t bother me to use a preferred name or title someone “demands.” I guess it does bother some.
Whatever indeed. I m guessing the very people insisting they be referred to by their personal preferred pronouns would have no trouble referring to my 61 year old Caucasian self as a racist…
I don’t remember the group but in 2018 I think Rush played some audio from a California socialist or some kind of ist or ism convention…
“I m John smith he him her she…we have got to stop using gender specific pronouns this is making me very upset…” or words to that effect. It was hilarious and sad all at the same time.
I’m not going to be held responsible when I get on a plane with a bunch of strangers next week to go around “hi I’m Steve in case we communicate on the plane what is your preferred pronoun???”
We are either male or female the language already deals with that accordingly.
Lots of people balked at using Ms. when it first came around, I remember it well. That said, now I know what “preferred pronouns” are, I honestly had no idea, but kept seeing the phrase around here and there. I couldn’t care less, I’ll call people whatever they want me to, but if they are rude to me about it they will get the same in return, sometimes magnified exorbitantly. People don’t get to treat me as lesser anymore than I do them.
To me it’s a courtesy and respect issue. I really could not care less what someone identifies as or what pronoun they want used. It’s their life and their decision. However, I still believe in respect and manners when interacting with people. If they have a preferred title, name or pronouns and I know ahead of time or because they’ve told me, I’ll use it. I don’t know why older titles or gender specific pronouns are OK, but others aren’t. Maybe those who feign hysteria when being asked to use them don’t care about courtesy or respect. Although something tells me they’d be the first to be offended if someone used the wrong title, preferred name or pronoun on them.
