SO much spin

Perhaps the agent noticed the person stopped was throwing rocks at him?

While he was driving? That’s some trick.

‘Allegedly’ thrown rocks

Allegedly arrested, then.
We don’t have a video showing the stop, only after he is being arrested.
Was he stopped due to the warrant on him, or did he stop to help the five illegals who were taken into custody? None of that is clear.
What is clear that if he did assault the agents, and if he did have a gun illegally in his car, his arrest was perfectly proper.
We also know that if the agents had kept the kid on the parking lot we would be reading about how they should have taken the kid with them and were endangering him by leaving him in a parking lot where arrest activity was taking place, and possible violence.

This man was guilty of being brown skinned in a home depot parking lot. (I’m assuming he is Latino and will retract if this proves incorrect.)

How would they know before the stop?

Probable cause Doug. Are you under the impression cops can just randomly stop people?

Nameless/faceless armed thugs pull you over. Is chunking rocks that surprising.

How did they know he had a gun? Is it illegal to be armed in this country?

No you don’t. Counterfactual.

Why would they leave him in the parking lot?

Why not call a relative and wait witht he kid, and even with the father until someone comes to take care of the kid?

Clearly the guy who got arrested didn’t seem to care about that. Maybe they should add charges of child endangerment for leaving a baby in a car unattended.

She was not working in there at the time. She ran in there to hide behind children. Disgusting person.

She was on her way to work. Get her!

It’s in the link:

"The DHS has alleged that the 32-year-old “exited his vehicle wielding a hammer and threw rocks at law enforcement while he had a child in his car”. The agency did not respond to the Guardian’s questions about why agents drove away with the child rather than wait for another family member to come pick her up from the parking lot.

The agency added: “He was arrested for assault and during his arrest a pistol was found in his car, that is reported stolen out of the state of New York. The individual has an active warrant for property damage.”"

They don’t have to have been looking for him. Any person with an active warrant can and should be arrested when an LEO encounters them … particularly when they are combative when encountered.
