Great job fellas!

Masked, heavily armed federal immigration agents arrested a US citizen in the parking lot of a Los Angeles Home Depot store, then entered his car and drove away with his toddler, who is also a US citizen, in the backseat.

SO much spin.

Still seems unclear why he was arrested in the first place.

There is no spin in that quote.

You’re right, there wasn’t. He ended up having a gun, and an outstanding warrant. But ICE wasn’t there that morning looking for US citizens with outstanding warrants.

What’s the spin?

And disappeared a baby, but it’s ok, it was just a while.

They arrested the guy. No indication of why, yes.

Let’s start with this: Should they have just left the baby in the car?

“The DHS has alleged that the 32-year-old “exited his vehicle wielding a hammer and threw rocks at law enforcement while he had a child in his car”. The agency did not respond to the Guardian’s questions about why agents drove away with the child rather than wait for another family member to come pick her up from the parking lot.“

What normally happens when a criminal is arrested? Do the leave a two year old in a parking lot or do they take them to the station and contact a family member there? Perhaps it unusual for most criminals to do their criming with their two year old in the car.

DHS lies.

So do people who throw rocks and are facing significant jail time as a result.

No, DHS lies. Routinely. And to the courts even.

Why wouldn’t they call a relative and have them come to the car?

Everything has to work YOUR way.

Relative can pick up the baby (and the arrested guy’s belongings) at the station.

That would be humanity, dignity, respect. DHS doesn’t do those.

An active warrant for property damage? A federal warrant? For property damage?

Why’d they stop him? What was the probable cause for Border Patrol to stop a citizen?

No. They contact CPS or the family to deal with the child. What if this baby had special needs or needed medication?

Who cares?

What if the ICE thug wrecked the car with the baby in it.

I’ll bet there is protocol for unattended minors. I’d further bet it isn’t “drive around with the kid for a while”
