The cops knew where she was the entire time and the father knew who had her. She had not disappeared.
DHS lies.
So do peeps.

So do people who throw rocks and are facing significant jail time as a result.
No, DHS lies. Routinely. And to the courts even.
Perps lie routinely. And to the courts even.

What’s the spin?
They arrested the guy. No indication of why, yes.
Let’s start with this: Should they have just left the baby in the car?
Why wouldn’t they call a relative and have them come to the car?
Maybe because dad wasn’t cooperative and the baby didn’t know grandma’s phone number. Or maybe because the parking lot at Home Depot is not a good place to care of a one-year-old while waiting an indeterminate amount of time for someone to show up.

Sknyluv:
What if this baby had special needs or needed medication?
Who cares?
What if the ICE thug wrecked the car with the baby in it.
What if grandma in a panic to get there crashed her car and died?
“What if …” ![]()
SO much spin
No … SO much stupidity.
‘Allegedly’ thrown rocks
Was the outstanding warrant alleged as well?
Supreme_War_Pig:
‘Allegedly’ thrown rocks
This man was guilty of being brown skinned in a home depot parking lot. (I’m assuming he is Latino and will retract if this proves incorrect.)
You should retract it regardless. Brown skin is not a pass for outstanding warrants.
Probable cause.

Of course not. But also, rocks are assault and a warrant is a warrant

The warrant explains the arrest, not the stop.

Why did ICE engage with him initially?

An active warrant for property damage? A federal warrant? For property damage?
Why’d they stop him? What was the probable cause for Border Patrol to stop a citizen?
Perhaps the agent noticed the person stopped was throwing rocks at him?
While he was driving? That’s some trick.
Where did he find the rocks?
What does it matter?
Probable cause.
No. He confronted them. His warrant was discovered as a result of that confrontation.

Either will do. The warrant justifies being taken into custody. The alleged rocks and assault are yet to be adjudicated, but they still justify arrest. If the allegations are false and is found innocent, but the warrant is still valid. Quit pretending that the guy is just an innocent “brown guy” who was victimized by ICE.

Don’t know. Do you? For all we know, he stopped on his own to confront them just because he hates ICE.
Don’t know. Do you?
I don’t. My guess is because he has brown skin as was in a Home Depot parking lot.

No it wasn’t.
Hmmm…I was just trying to make the point that the alleged assault if true, sets the stage for a different type of stop then a warrant stop
