Democratic school districts have been dumbing down curriculums in every subject and punishing gifted students in the name of “equity.” This climate change utopia with all of its “innovation” is not going to be possible after we lose an entire generation of students.
Actually I would say that the BLM ideology is closer to Fascism.
Both Marxism (= international socialism) and Fascism ( = national socialism) are forms of authoritarian socialism. The difference is that Fascism sees struggles in terms of racial and ethnic differences while Marxism sees struggles in terms of differences in class or economic status.
“I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” by Maya Angelou, “Catch-22” by Joseph Heller, “The Things They Carried” by Tim O’Brien, “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald and “Invisible Man” by Ralph Ellison were all taken off an approved list of works that teachers in the Mat-Su Borough School District may use for instruction.
Caged Bird" was derided for “anti-white’ messaging,” “Gatsby” and “Things” are loaded with “sexual references,” “Invisible Man” has bad language and “Catch-22” includes violence, according [to the school]
the only two books I think should be mandatory part of High school education are 1984 and Brave New World because they teach about how Authoritarianism take hold in society.
