â The White House on Monday issued a release Monday titled âAt USAID, Waste and Abuse Runs Deep.â It listed âpet projects of entrenched bureaucratsâ that included:
$1.5 million to âadvance diversity equity and inclusion in Serbiaâs workplaces and business communitiesâ
$2.5 million for electric vehicles for Vietnam
$2 million for sex changes and âLGBT activismâ in Guatemala
$6 million to fund tourism in Egypt
Millions to EcoHealth Alliance â which was involved in research at the Wuhan lab
Hundreds of millions of dollars to fund âirrigation canals, farming equipment, and even fertilizer used to support the unprecedented poppy cultivation and heroin production in Afghanistan,â benefiting the Talibanâ
Americans also have short memories. I think thatâs a big reason Trump is moving so fast. Once things start getting better, Iâm afraid people will forget who made things bad and go back to voting for morons again. Hope Iâm wrongâŚ
Hereâs an American who may notice if USAID goes bye, bye.
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is facing criticism as Republicans question her net worth and the possibility of some lawmakers getting kickbacks from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
At a minimum, it looks like State Dept will kick out the management structure that was USAID. They are the ones who allowed the program to grow beyond its intended charter.
I got this image of someone dealing a hand of cards. Sometimes when a person is dealing, the deal gets out of sequence, and someone notices and the dealer stops. If itâs not too messy, the dealer can straighten out the deal and continue where he left off. But sometimes itâs so messed up that he just picks up the cards and reshuffles and starts dealing from the beginning.
I see that applying to USAID. Too many cards have been misdealt. I have no doubt that USAID was doing good things that were within its original charter, but the program got way out of hand with other crap. Weâre hearing from lots of organizations that this is hurting their efforts, and some of the stories can be heartbreaking.
Hereâs hoping that Rubio can launch a re-deal and get the worthy efforts funded again.
PS: Iâll let the State Dept determine what those worthy efforts are. Iâm not interested in debating the merits of this- or that-program here.
Itâs being reported now that the nasty woman âbishopâ that ripped Trump up one side and down the other , that her church recieved 53 million dollars from Biden to pay them for helping settle Illegals in the country.
No word on whether it is USAID money or money from other branch of government.
The gift of love means there is a personal sacrifice. There was no sacrifice in this except misapplying government tax dollars. You do understand thatâŚright. HereâŚlet me repeat a Commandment; thou shalt not steal.
Was there any actual fraud discovered? It looks like a bunch of âI donât like us spending money on this so therefore USAID should be shutdownâ
I am all for rooting out fraud. And maybe if fraud is rampant, then is that as a justification to get rid of usaid. But throwing a temper tantrum around spending that is valid but you donât like⌠is not the way.
