How long before the TSA crack and Airports shutdown

Or, you know, the GOP stops holding these workers hostage and we just fund the government. Sadistic.

If they do that they will lose any leverage they have in order to get the wall. That would be the end of the Trump Presidency.

It’s not exactly a stalemate when the President is dictating what he will and won’t approve.

You mean let Trumps campaign retoric, “mission accomplished”, photo-op, that Mexico will pay for wall pass or fail on it’s own merit without holding the paychecks of the Coast Guard, FBI, CBP, ICE, IRS, FDA, FCC, etc. hostage.

Oh the horror.

Very true.

For as much as they claim they’re the party of Jesus, they really struggle to show any compassion and love and humility.

sorry an update.

transportation secretary want people to work without pay.

workers protesting.

who knew?

Airports should have been shutdown on day one of the slow down.

Persons could stay at their station to allow any flights airborned to safely land. No new flights taking off. No new flights allowed to enter US airspace.

The FAA would issue an international NOTAM (Notice to Air Mission) as they turned off the lights and headed home telling foreign pilots the US was shut down and all inbound flights were cancelled.

WW

No one is being directed to work without pay.

Anyone that is required to work duing the slow down will be paid, it will just be delayed.

I get this is a hardship in the short term, but they will be paid in the long term. I hope those impacted have the reserves to wheather the storm.

Trumps last shutdown - IIRC - as 31 days. That can really put a strain on someones budget.

Now, if they get fired, that is a whole different household budget problem.

TSA workers had seven years to save 6 months of living expenses should another shutdown happen.

Personal finance 101. Pay yourself first 10%. That means put 10% of your pay into savings.

You are welcome.

“I actually think the president would be blamed. If there is a shutdown … I think it would be a tremendously negative mark on the president of the United States. He’s the one that has to get people together.”

Wow. That would be quite something to see

i know i would not like it if it was payday and did not get paid.

hardship?

some people work paycheck to paycheck.

meanwhile we are bailing out argentina to the tune of 20,000,000,000.

Allan

some people dont have the foresight that you have.

what about them.

Let them eat cake?

The problem is we don’t have government shutdowns, we have government slow downs.

75% of the Government is still up and running.

Make it 100% and watch how fast funding is passed.
