I had such severe sleep apnea that I was give a free study by the clinic as my insurance company’s advisory panel said it was not necessary. I had 65 apenas per hour. Dangerous to say the least. Then they would not let me go back for follow up to set cpap levels.
It then took me three months to get approved for the machine.
These panels make decisions based on their fiscal concerns…not patients health concerns. My doctor actually had to file an appeal. My grandpa died of sleep apnea. They did not care.
No death panels indeed.

My favorite was the $8 a gallon of gas thread. I think that single thread and the resulting ridicule made him not want to come back to the forum.
