When I heard this I found it quite perplexing. One would think that American universities would want at least more than 90% their students to be Americans! How did this come to be?
Cash is king no matter where in the world the source. The parents of the world’s 1% send their kids to Harvard not some poor rice farmer.
“Cash is king” reflects the timeless truth that liquidity is power—having ready money offers flexibility, security, and opportunity, whether you’re navigating a crisis or capitalizing on an investment, no matter where you are in the world. It’s a reminder that in both personal finance and business, cash on hand can be the difference between survival and success.
Greed is good when it’s lib elites who are getting rich!
This is a bot.
Go open your own university and a big ol’ No Foreigners sign right out front, then!
Why would they? All they care about are the $$$$.
And the fools that spend the tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars are buying a â– â– â– â– education and are complacent knowing their precious progeny are being indoctrinated.
The morons are burning their diplomas?
It’s a top global university. It draws the top students from around the world. No different from other top global universities. Oxford is over 1/3rd international students. Cambridge is 25% international. Toronto is over 25% international. Funny that it’s now a bad thing a US school attracts top international students. Sounds like people want Harvard to DEI accept less qualified US applicants.
Maybe the government should regulate this private college’s admissions and require they only admit US students. That will surely make everyone better off.
(Wait until Starmer learns about the student population at the London School of Economics!)
Good point, it’s a private college and they don’t need no stinkin’ government subsidies!
It’s a good thing they aren’t subsidized then. They are paid for research activities.
Yeah, “research”.
That’s conveniently dismissive. Just put the word in quotes and you can act like you know what you’re talking about.
Careful now, you’re purporting to be an expert on how and where that money goes too.
In fiscal year 2024, Harvard received approximately $686 million from federal agencies, accounting for about two-thirds of its total sponsored research expenditures and 11% of its operating revenue.
They’re a stoic bunch of perfect angels, and no fraud is happening, at all. It’s just not possible.
What about those numbers speaks to fraud? You toss out that claim with zero support. Point the class to this fraud.
I think the admissions system at US colleges and universities is completely wrong.
No fraud what-so-ever. It’s just not possible. All of that money went to legit research and nothing else. They’re all stoic angels, just like you insist.
“it’s fraud I tell ya!” Man says about place he doesn’t like. But hey, at least gubmint is forcing 'em to send those Jewish students back to Israel!
How in the heck did we end up at my heritage?
We’re talking about how Harvard are pristine stewards of the hundreds of millions of American tax dollars they get every year. lol
