How does Bidenomics help the economy?

Just ignore everyone who gave up and dropped out of the workforce.

Ever notice how no one talks about the Labor force participation rate when a Republican is in office?

Ever notice how when the last Republican was in office we didn’t have millions of unfilled jobs?

Not buying it, we didn’t gain a bunch of businesses, we lost a bunch, so how do we have this worker shortage we didn’t have before if there are more in the workforce?

There was a labor shortage before the pandemic.

The pandemic made it worse.

No sorry, wasn’t much of one here, nothing like now. And not just here, ai travel quite a bit. Never seen this short in my entire life.

Nothing like now, becuase the pandemic made an existing labor shortage even worse.

It isn’t really hard to understand

Especially in the trucking industry. They have been complaining about a severe labor shortage for years now.

Ex. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2018/05/28/america-has-a-massive-truck-driver-shortage-heres-why-few-want-an-80000-job/

America has a massive shortage of truck drivers. Joyce Brenny, head of Brenny Transportation in Minnesota, increased driver pay 15 percent this year to try to attract more drivers. Many of her drivers now earn $80,000, she says, yet she still can’t find enough people for the job.

About 51,000 more drivers are needed to meet the demand from companies such as Amazon and Walmart that are shipping more goods across the country, according to the American Trucking Associations. The driver shortage is already leading to delayed deliveries and higher prices for goods that Americans buy. The ATA predicts that it’s likely to get worse in the coming years.

Many trucking companies are so desperate for drivers that they are offering signing bonuses and pay raises. So why don’t more Americans want this job? We asked truck drivers who have been doing the job anywhere from four months to 40 years for their views

Well let’s see, 80k, I know personally they were making around 40k way back in 1978. So no wonder they are having trouble.

Yeah, we had millions more unemployed.

For what? Lifting state shut downs? Did he do that?

That doesn’t explain 2021 vs. 2019.
