How Do We Feel About Sinema Harassment?

You’re not inscrutable.

You’re a human being just like everyone else, with biases and predictable behavior. It doesn’t take “the smartest person in the room” to realize that if you switch the letter on this person’s name, you…you personally…would have never made a thread about it.

If you truly think what Karina did was either harassment or inappropriate, then I don’t know what to say.

Karina was respectful. She asked her question, then got out of there.

She was rude before she ever opened her mouth.

Come to think of it, I have you exactly wrong. You said specifically int eh Noem thread that she was allowed to intervene for her kid because - paraphrasing - what’s the point of being gov. if you can’t have a few perks.

I do agree with your time and place comment - bathrooms, no. On an airplane? As long as they aren’t sleeping or eating, or engaged with someone else, seems OK to me.

Why? Can the victim get up and leave?

Karenism is a problem.

Victim?

Let’s be clear - I’m 100% against harassment.

A citizen engaging an elected official in conversation is not making them a victim.

Okee dokee.

Yes, victim. “Engaging” anybody on an airplane is harassment.

Not okay. Full stop.

How would you feel if I hemmed you up somewhere outside your work and made you listen to my complaints about your job?

Who thinks it’s appropriate behavior to harass any senator like that?

Allan

I didn’t like it when Graham was being hounded in airports by “patriots” either.

Plus it’s tactically dumb. Sinema is the kind of person who would dig her heels in more if she felt bullied.

Every man knows you are not to speak to another human in a public restroom*

Therefore, this is unacceptable.

"I don’t want to disturb you, but…

An admission. Rude. And selfish.

Karina is an illegal resident of this country demanding that the Senator commit to a “pathway to citizenship” for her.

There is a legal process to become a citizen 800000 or more immigrants use it every year.

Mike Gallagher just asked an interesting question on his radio show…how did this person living illegally in the country get on the plane.

This Karina person disrespectfully, both to the Senator and everyone else on the plane, approached Senator Sinema so she could get her little you tube moment. She should have been instructed to go back to her seat.

I would feel the same way no matter what her political affiliation…I fly too much to believe we should be encouraging people to create situations on airplanes.

Sooner or later one of these radicals is gonna find another proverbial Archduke to murder.

The questions were fine. The location was not. Sinema was trapped with no exit and held hostage without a chance of retreat. Luckily the woman left pretty soon. I’d add bathrooms to this list. Just don’t do it.

Trapped?

Come on, man!

Oh my God…she was forced to listen to a person politely ask a question and then leave.

Context is key in everything.

If Karina was yelling at her or acting rude, then that’s one thing.

She wasn’t.

Any politician who thought that was harassment needs to get out of politics.

PS DACA recipients aren’t illegals. They’re DACA recipients.

Meh- where’s the line? Does every politician stuck on a plane have to deal with an endless parade of people “politely asking questions” where there is no hope of retreat?

Bathrooms and airplanes are a no for me.

DACA was illegal.

And they’re illegals still. Deport the lot of them.
