You may remember I have a daughter in the military. Here is the reality. There are some–both men and women–who can handle men and women alongside each other and always be professional. The problem is that some men–and some women–cannot (or will not).
We cannot place more blame on one gender over the other. Both are equally at fault, and both women and men can make it difficult for the truly professional to argue that in fact men and women can work together in close quarters to produce some really great results.
The problem is that the truly professional women are the ones who seem to have to pay the price when a few unprofessionals of both genders cause a public problem.
