Your reply indicates you intentionally have ignored the point being made by the Supreme Court in the quote I provided, or, you are incapable of, or unwilling, to acknowledge an abuse of the power of taxation which our founders provided a specific protection against, i.e., “No Capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken”.
With that protection [the rule requiring any direct tax to be apportioned] our founders agreed that if Congress ever entered the States and taxed the people or their property directly, the tax would be an equal per capita tax. This, of course, prevents dishonest politicians from identifying a specific group of citizens and directly taxing them or their property, and then redistributing that tax revenue to another group of citizens exempted from the tax in question.

It’s not my opinion, its a fact. Its you who is stating a uniformed opinion. The Democratic Party is mostly progressives and modern liberals. There are also some democratic socialists, but they are a minority in the party. There are no communists.
It is your opinion, and one which is uniformed because the Democrat Party Leadership’s actions exhibit characteristics which are in harmony with communism and socialism. They do not defend rights associated with property ownership, they reject people being free to mutually agree in their contracts and associations, they intentionally use the force of taxation to rob the property of an identifiable group of people, which they then “redistribute” to another identifiable group for their personal economic needs, and in return for that groups vote which helps to keep these communists and socialists in powers while they live large on the taxpayer’s dime:
