We’d need hundreds of thousands or even millions of federal workers who would sit idle for years, or even decades between outbreaks if we relied on the Federal Gov’t to do the job and that would be astronomically wasteful.

Right in the middle of the KNOWN timeframe it takes to become infected and then show symptoms. The exact same amount of time it was since he attended the Trump rally.
Trump had no business doing indoor rallies, that is a valid criticism, that the CDC should be contact tracing is not. That contact tracing is not being done is false. If it isn’t being done, complain to your governor.
