“He speaks perfect English!”

What a way to honor Mr. Adrian Anzaldua, but maybe he is just jealous, considering he himself has the literacy of a grade schooler.

Surprised he did not add “and he hasn’t raped anyone!”; our president, be proud!

I think this may actually be the first time I’ve seen someone insult the person they were trying to honor

I bet the Trumpers will say he was just being nice.

How much lower does the bar have to go before Republicans on the hill speak up?

Unfortunately, there’s no law against stupid being President.

You people forget so easily, like hyperactive children. Your former vice president’s description of Obama:

“first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,”

At least he didnt say “and he doesn’t smell”

Not sure who you’re referring to by this “you people” nonsense, but you have a short memory. I had plenty to say about Biden saying that at the time. Thanks for playing though.

Then you have forgotten - or the lib narrative told you to forget- because you said it was the “first time”, when Biden’s insulting comment occured years earlier.

You people = those of you who lap up articles like the one posted.

It was just more lies, deception, anger, and attempt to ruin someones day… in this case some good border patrol people.

My interpretation is that the agent didn’t immediately respond to come to the podium when the President invited him. He had to be coaxed a tad and I credit it to the man’s humility. The President, in stalling the crowd while the agent did come forward, was attempting comedy that he speaks perfect English while alluding to the man’s humility being the reason for his hesitation. When you’re looking for racism, you can twist most any remark into one that reflects your hate. Often remarks are meant to be neutral but the listener can interpret them which ever way they choose. This I’ll credit to one of those times. I didn’t hear racism but I do believe that under the circumstances, it was a poor choice for humor.

And it was a big deal when Biden said it. For Trump, this is just a Monday.

So apparently I misspoke when I said the first time. I can admit my errors. See how easy that was?

But, but, but Bush…
And those that did that were blasted here.
And quite a few that were doing the blasting are now Trump supporters who will yell Obama, Clinton, Biden…
Seems like old times.

At least you included the video in your link, so I could clearly see for myself the remark didn’t seem to be in reference to his heritage. It wasn’t “look a hispanic person speaks perfect English”, more like, how many times do I have to tell him to come down here and speak, I know you can do it.

That was my take on it as well. He didn’t get up immediately - it was impromptu to call him up to the podium. He sat for a few seconds bewildered.

I agree it was a poor choice for humor under the circumstances.

Hypocrisy checks really bother you libs, don’t they. For awhile, you even called such checks a Russian conspiracy since cold war Russia did the same thing.

You libs are hilarious.

Trump hasn’t earned the benefit of the doubt.

It was more about the listener and their choice of discernment, than about Trump IMO.

Why bring food to an all you can eat buffet? There is no shortage of actual offensive things Trump has done. Manufacturing them just hurts your credibility when you call out the real ones.
