Courtesy of the Washington Free Beacon, here are a few samples from the new batch of plagiarism allegations. (I think this is batch number 3. I have not been following this story closely.)
Aparently noone has the pair to kick her out.
All we see is moaning and complaining until a new topic gets the attention and this one is showed under the carpet.
She was hand-typing (many of) these in the days before word processors.
It is one thing to, using a computer, copy-and-paste text, and forget to attribute it.
It is another thing to do so repeatedly. (Oooops, silly me. I keep forgetting that.)
What she did (in many of the allegations) was a deliberate act, one letter at a time, one key-stroke at a time.
No doubt. People don’t just wake up one day and start biting off other people’s work. Surely it takes a lifetime of practice to be so comfortable and casual with theft.
As long as they are perceived to be serving “the greater good”, there is no wrong for the left. Concrete thinking such as right or wrong is considered archaic and right-wing.
