Drag Queens aren’t Trans. Drag Queens are entertainers first and foremost. They promote farce. It’s one of the oldest forms of comedy.
Actually drag is all about comedy. It’s a type of farcical entertainment. It takes something that is not normal in popular culture and uses it for entertainment purposes.
Drag Shows have always been a popular form of comedic entertainment in both Europe and America. There’s a reason that amateur drag shows, often performed by extremely male oriented organizations, got big here. It was always considered funny watching a bunch of dudes dress up like women and act out skits. The more muscular the guys, the funnier the punch lines were.
It’s all about indoctrinating children into thinking things that are deviant/perverse are normal and good.
My daughter is watching her children’s schools like a hawk and if they ever allow drag queens in she will pull her kids out so fast that the people running the schools heads will spin!
Pull them out and homeschool them.
That’s often a thin line though.
A preacher reading the story of Moses might be considered proselytizing by extremely secular people and land himself in hot water.

Or historically a Catholic preaching to Protestants or vise versa.
Doesn’t even need to be pushback from secular people.

Or…. It’s clowns reading to children for their entertainment.

Stay ever vigilant. Stay ever true.

Drag was done in schools when I was growing up and no one gave a ■■■■■
It was part of the male beauty pageant that was done for fun.
They were doing it when I was middle school. We did an amateur drag show when I was in eighth grade. All of us who played sports (the football, baseball, basketball, and soccer players like me) got together, the school gave us funds to go buy women’s clothes, and we put on a drag show in the gym. And this is in south central Mississippi of all places. Everybody thought it was hillarious watching a bunch of well toned guys (some of whom were ridiculously built for eighth graders) put on dresses and dance around. I had a ton of fun.

That is why I find this moral panic darkly amusing.
We grew up with this but for some reason now it’s “an agenda”.
Never mind that Drag Queen Story Hour is a voluntary event that is usually held in Public Libraries.
I think people have conflated drag with trans. When they are two very separate things that don’t overlap.

Yeah. And I think that it is done on purpose.
Multiply the moral panic.
Certainly seems like it was. And people don’t take the time and effort to parse out the difference.

Children do not have the reasoning ability of adults. When they see men in dresses in Walmart or men in dresses in their school reading to them, they don’t understand the difference between normal men who are doing something abnormal as comedy and abnormal men doing something abnormal like wearing women’s clothing everywhere because they’re perverts. I’ve asked the question several times why there are different ratings on movies. Because we understand that children do not reason like adults and there are some things that they can’t understand and distinguish.
It is not normal for men to have the desire to wear women’s clothing and pretend to be a woman. But this is exactly what these drag queens reading to children are. If the idea is entertaining children while reading to them, hire a clown.
I would say it depends on what the parents want and desire more than anything else. They get to choose what they think is appropriate for their kids.
So long as there is no force being used, I don’t see the problem with it. Frankly I don’t think kids would be confused by a drag show. They’re usually over the top with the comedy. And from what I’ve seen kids usually laugh at over the top comedy. There’s a reason Looney Toons type violence is still so funny to kids even 70 years later. It’s over the top on purpose.
Hell even my five month old smiles and proto laughs when I do something stupid and over the top in front of him when I have him laying on the floor on his pad.
When right wing media figured out how trans hate could drive ratings and the GOP figured out it could get votes, it exploded.
hire a clown.
Drag Queens are clowns.
They’re just modern day court jesters. Clowns and drag entertainers evolved from the same root job.
I think it was there because it was developed so early.
Earliest human ancestors were personifying the sun and the moon and worshipping them.
That’s religion.

And a farce it all is, too. ![]()
Radicals in any religion are dangerous.
Including critprog-ism.
