Bro, at least older people, and people with pre-existing medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease) appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with the virus.

Iâm saying itâs a myth that people in China eat a lot of bat soup. They donât.

My question isâŚwhy would they do that?

Perhaps it is because they donât want to admit that the most likely source of the virus was not Wuhanâs wet market.
I have gone to China a few times on business. There is no such thing as Chinese food in China any more than there is European food in Europe; everything is regional. Guangzhou and some other parts of southern China are noted for eating some unusual things such as scorpions, snakes, etc. Sort of like Louisiana some parts of the South are noted for serving alligator and crayfish.
From what I read, bat is occasionally eaten in southern China, but Wuhan is not in that region of china, and the nearest wild bat population is several hundred miles away.
According to municipal reports and the testimonies of 31 residents and 28 visitors, the bat was never a food source in the city, and no bat was traded in the market.
