These geniuses thought it would be a great idea to turn the Marvel hero’s into all female. Those types of comics/shows have been young male fantasies since the first Superman movie. That was as brilliant as it would be to make the next Barbie movie all male.
So in a completely made up fantasy land where a character can get bit by a radioactive spider and get super powers, making characters female is a bridge too far? Gotcha.
I signed back up for Hulu during the Black Friday deal but this time didn’t bother with the $2 Disney add on. I could finish Loki s2 and watch Indiana Jones Dial of Destiny but….not for now. I don’t know how woke Disney is and the woke to broke ratio, but I still think about the Willow series being a queer teen romance adventure. And being awful. And since the last time I mentioned it, Disney dropped it from the service six months from release so now no one can watch it even if someone wanted to. Could it have been successful if it wasn’t so awful? Perhaps. Maybe there is no demand for an obscure nostalgic property and “woke” is getting all the credit.
In summary, Disney puts out a lot of awful things that manage to get 84% RT scores.
No you dont get it. I could care less whether it makes some sort of ethical or whatever sense. I note that it doesn’t make economic sense to sell the wrong product to the wrong people.
I really want to understand this. Not being a jerk. It really helps me to be clear on people’s concerns. So what exactly has Disney done to do this? Specifically.
On Tuesday, Christopher Rufo, known for his exposés on schools and corporations under the spell of critical race theory, released internal Disney videos in which those in charge discuss how they insert the “not-at-all-secret gay agenda” into children’s programming.
Those were the words used by Disney Television Animation executive producer Latoya Raveneau, who said she is “adding queerness” wherever she can — with Disney’s blessing, as the company is “going hard” to be supportive.
The shocking footage also featured Disney Parks’ diversity and inclusion manager, Vivian Ware, saying the company has “removed all of the gendered greetings” at its theme parks. No more “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.” No longer will a little girl in a gown be greeted with “Hello, princess!” as my daughter had been so many times on our Disney World trips. Disney has been pushed to toe the leftist gender line, and it is doing just that.
