The cost of the wall is projected at around $25 Billion, not $5 Billion. That would be about 137 years to fund the wall.

The idea is fine. It needs to be worked out with the administration first to see if it can be legally earmarked to that project and that it is under the control of the administration or at least some established trust organizationā¦at least before they see any of my money.

I donāt believe @DougBH was talking about GoFundMe āearmarkingā how the funds are spent, I believe he was talking about a legal requirement placed on the government by accepting the money that once the funds are turned over to the government that the government could only use the money to ābuild the wallā.
(Personally I donāt agree with āthe wallā and think that we can have a greater impact on illegal aliens in this country by removing their ability to work (by going after employers), giving employers the ability to propertly screen employees (enhanced E-verify), removing access to social services (welfare, public schools, etc.), and ending birthright citizenship for those in the country illegally.)
